Meet the Artist
Artist and naturalist Michael Boardman has been observing, exploring and interpreting the natural world ever since he could heft a pencil to paper. Trips to the Bronx Zoo and American Museum of Natural History cemented his love and appreciation for the wonder of the varied forms of life on this planet. Kayaking and hiking in Maine have given great subject matter and light for painting. Michael graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelors in fine arts. He's been fortunate enough to travel with his wife Linda to Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska and Africa, where he got to experience a life long dream of visiting with mountain gorillas in the wild. When he's not at work in the studio Michael spends much of his time with his children Elliott & Phoebe, instilling the same love for nature that his parents gave to him.
